Description

Audessa is inspired by vintage vibes, chalkboard signs, and rustic coffeehouses. It is a contemporary sans-serif display typeface for lovers of hand-lettering. I considered ways to elevate a san-serif type that is reminiscent of hand-lettering but had sturdy, straight edges that could carry more weight. Hand drawn shadows are details I love seeing in hand-lettering, so I put a twist on the idea in Audessa. Using thin lines placed delicately around the letterforms, I created an implied shadow to mimic this effect. Ultimately, I ended up with a functional and casual typeface.

I am currently completing the entire font family.
